Aric Chang serves as Chief Financial Officer of American Healthcare REIT (NYSE: AHR), where he oversees the company’s capital allocation and capital markets strategy and leads its finance organization.

Chang joined AHR from Public Storage (NYSE: PSA), where he served as Chief Financial Officer, Real Estate, leading teams spanning corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, real estate investment management and data analytics, and overseeing approximately $16 billion in capital deployment across acquisitions, development, lending and public-to-public M&A. From 2015 to 2022, he was an Executive Director at J.P. Morgan Asset Management – Real Estate Americas, an $80 billion institutional real estate investment platform, where he served on the investment committee and as senior strategist for alternative property sectors, with responsibility for operator selection and joint venture relationships.

Earlier in a career that began in 2001, Chang held senior finance roles at Rexford Industrial (NYSE: REXR), including Senior Vice President of Investor Relations and Capital Markets, and at Rouse Properties, as well as REIT research roles at Green Street and Oak Hill REIT Management. He holds a B.S. in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
