Wendie Newman serves as Executive Vice President, Asset Management – Outpatient Medical of American Healthcare REIT, where she oversees the strategic and asset management function for the company’s outpatient medical portfolio. She has held the role since joining the AHR platform in 2016.

Before joining the AHR platform, Newman served as Senior Vice President of Lillibridge Healthcare Services, the medical office affiliate of Ventas, Inc. (NYSE: VTR). There she oversaw approximately 122 medical office buildings totaling 7.1 million square feet across the western United States. Earlier, she served as Senior Asset Manager of Nationwide Health Properties, where she oversaw the company’s national medical office portfolio until Ventas acquired it in 2011.

Earlier in her career, Newman held asset and property management roles with PM Realty Group, Sares-Regis Group and CBRE. Her work there covered acquisitions, dispositions, leasing and operations for office, industrial and retail properties. She has more than three decades of commercial real estate experience. Newman received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Southern California and a master’s degree in business administration from California State University, Long Beach. She is a Certified Property Manager and a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management.
